As one probably can tell from the name - Jacky Simoud is not Greenlandic. He is actually from France and arrived here in Greenland more than 20 years ago. He is originally an electrician but has worked with tourism in North Greenland many years until he mowed to South Greenland in 1997.
 
Jacky is the only outfitter in South Greenland working with tourism full time. This means that he "is available" all year round. He takes the guests on snowmobile tours and ice fishing in the wintertime and he has three boats, which is used for transfers and boat-excursions in the Narsarsuaq area in the summer: Sapangaq 36 passengers, Polarfox 17 passengers and Puttut 12 passengers. He also arranges package tours, horseback-riding trips to the Inland Ice and he has following equipment for rental: Kayaks, mountainbikes, camping-gear, snowmobiles and horses.
