Cooperation between Arctic Circle Race and 'Vasaloppet'.
As of 1999 the two ski race organizers have started exchanging experiences. This should improve future events even further.
'Vasaloppet' and its 78-season history - what can it learn from the 7-season Arctic Circle Race? Well, quite a lot actually. Not only the positive manner in which all participants are received, and the personal contact, which is only rarely found in people's stressed everyday lives, but also the execution of the participant security measures in the rugged and tough settings of the race.
Have a go at 'Vasaloppsveckan' as well - this is the world's biggest skiing event.
In 2003 it is our aim to have a total of more than 40.000 participants at our five different skiing events. 'Vasaloppet' - a 90 kilometer stretch and a fantastic experience. '…ppet SpŒr' - the same stretch and service as the 'Vasaloppet', but with individual starts. 'Tjej Vasan' - 30 kilometers long and the world's biggest skiing event for women. 'Halv Vasan' - 45 kilometers, from Evertsberg to Mora. A perfect race for those who wish to savour the scenery and the atmosphere in a terrain slightly easier than that of the 'Vasaloppet'. Finally there is the big 30 kilometer family event - 'Kort Vasan' - from Oxberg to Mora. This race is for the entire family, personal times are recorded, and everybody will receive a diploma.
All of the 'Vasaloppsveckan' - the Vasa Week - is a fantastic skiing adventure full of experiences both on and off the track.
Live the dream, take on the challenge, and experience the adventure during the
'Vasaloppsveckan' 2001.
